A brief introduction to your committee
Stacy Angus - Drymuir
I have owned 'welshies' since my teens and am truly addicted to the beauty and spirit of the breed. I set up my stud prefix in 2014 when my first homebred foal was born. I regularly show my ponies in hand/ridden as well as competing in dressage and RC activities. I also show in hand for other people, both M&M and non M&M. I was part of the Scottish Welsh Association Young Judges training and have since continued to judge at RC, agricultural and un affiliated level. I plan to continue my judging with an aim to affiliate to the WPCS in the future. I have been on the committee for two years now and am keen to see the association progress doing more for welsh and M&M ponies in the north of Scotland
Dennis Andrews - Auchmaliddi Stud (A,B,C,PB)
I have owned and shown ponies since the age of 5 and have been around horses, big and small, all of my life. My Mother and I run under the Auchmaliddi prefix and have recently got into section C's. We breed and show our ponies at county level up and down the country. For us, its not the winning that makes it great, its the breeding and owning an enjoyable animal to work with and one that puts a smile on your face.
Susan Reeve - Charmfield Stud (A,C,D)
I have been showing and breeding welsh ponies and cobs for many years. I have produced ponies that have been very successful competing at all the major championship shows including HOYS & Olympia. Although I no longer breed, I have retained the lovely Section A show mare Charmfield Araminta (Flydon Henri Ap Pip x Paith Maidenhair) and the very correct Section C mare Charmfield Carragwen (Talon Teifion x Hywi Bobby Dazzler) whom I hope to show under saddle in the near future. I hold the BHS Certificate of Horsemastership and have previously held positions on several WPCA and NPS committees and look forward to serving the NSWPCA membership.
Sophie Bryce - Charmfield Stud (A,C,D)
Being born into a 'horsey family' (Dad was involved in/played Polo & Mum ran a livery yard) I learnt to ride at a very early age. I was competing in L/R classes at the age of 3 and by 7, I was stable jockey for a small SP Stud. Showing had, by now, become a way of life. I have been very fortunate to have had some wonderful ponies of my own and others that I have produced for owners/studs. I have enjoyed great success not only with SP/SHP's and welshies but with other native breeds too, most notably Exmoor, Dartmoor and Fell. I am incredibly proud that several ponies I initially produced went on to qualify for RIHS, HOYS & Olyimpia with their new owners/riders. My passion has always been starting and bringing on youngsters and the re-schooling of the 'not so easy' types and seeing them flourish.
