MINUTES OF THE 2026 AGM

Welcome by Vice Chairperson:  Marie opened the meeting @ 7.15pm. She reported that all 3 shows held in 2025 were a great success. Entries were good but noted that Welsh entries remain dissapointingly low. The Spring Show at Strathorn Stables was busy & the extra parking was very welcome. Our Summer Bronze Medal show at Turriff Showground, with NPS & National Welsh Qualifiers on offer,  was very well supported. The reintroduction of a Winter show held at Ladyleys EC was welcomed with a good entry despite the parking being a bit tricky at times. The Clinic in March with Terry Clynes was fairly well supported but in order to run future clinics/training days we do need more uptake. Membership continues to steadily rise. Marie thanked the Committee for  all their hard work throughout the year & presented flowers to Aina Barnwell & Susan Reeve who stepped down from their respective roles. Both will remain on the Committee. Marie also thanked those who sponsored the 2025 shows. Without their generosity the Association could not offer such a large variety of classes & the fantastic rosettes & sashes we have become known for.              

Approval of the 2025 minutes:  Proposed by Marie Thompson & seconded by Fiona Leslie - approved

Approval of the 2024 Financial statement: Proposed by Dennis Andrew & Seconded by Jemma Buchan  - approved

Election of Committee Members: Lesley Rice stepped down. Dennis Andrew was elected. 

Election of Office Bearers: Aina Barnwell stepped down as Chairperson & Jemma Buchan was elected as Chair.

Appointment of Secretary: Susan Reeve stepped down & Vicki Marioni was appointed. 

AOB: Marie advised that due to the increased level of Membership the association was in a position to be able upgrade the Members rosettes from 1 tier to 2 tier. This was agreed by all.

Marie closed the meeting at 7.25 pm.

2025 Performance Scheme - presentation of Awards. 

A very enjoyable buffet was served.
